         Last week, we attended the TLE/ICT Department event, where different clubs, including the Entrepreneurship Club, showed their skills and creativity. It was a fun and interesting experience with lots of things to see and learn.           Our first stop was the STEP Club booth. We talked with the members and shared notes about entrepreneurship and technical skills. It was nice to see how eager they were to learn and improve their skills.          Next, we went in front of the New Heroes Building. We saw beautifully designed spoons made using nails, which was really creative. There were also food stalls selling snacks and treats made by students. It was great to see them learning about business and customer service while selling their products.          After that, we went to the gym, but it was closed.            The 123rd High School Day of Ilocos Sur National High School (ISNHS) was a fun and memorable event. It started with a big parade around Vigan, where students from different grade levels marched proudly with their props. The excitement and school spirit of the students were clear. The streets were filled with happy music and cheerful people, making the event lively and enjoyable.      One of the most exciting parts of the event was the field demonstration. Students from Grades 7 to 11 performed amazing cultural dances, representing countries like Brazil, America, Mexico, and the Philippines. Each group wore colorful costumes and danced with energy, making their presentations fun to watch.      As the fourth quarter comes to an end, I have gained valuable knowledge about creating a homepage using FrontPage. I learned the basic steps in designing a homepage, such as adding text, images, and links. This experience has helped me understand how web pages are structured and how important it is to make them user-friendly and visually appealing.      During this quarter, I faced some challenges, especially in formatting and organizing the elements on the page. At first, I found it difficult to align text and images properly, and sometimes, my design did not look the way I wanted it to. I also had trouble making sure that all links worked correctly.      To overcome these challenges, I practiced more and explored different tools in FrontPage.          Fifteen years from now, I see myself as a nurse, helping people and making a difference in their lives. I want to work in a hospital, taking care of patients and giving them the support they need. Nursing is my passion, and I know it will be a fulfilling career.      Aside from my job, I also want to enjoy life. I see myself spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and experiencing new things. Life is not just about work, but also about happiness and making good memories.      I know the road ahead will not always be easy, but I am ready to work hard and stay focused on my goals. I believe in myself and my dreams, and I will do my best to achieve them.

            Kannawidan Festival is a celebration of traditions, culture, and history in Ilocos Sur. It is celebrated in a yearly basis to commemorate the separation of Ilocos Sur as a province. The term "kannawidan" refers to "tradition" in the Ilocano dialect, thus making this festival a significant event for the preservation of customs as well as heritage of the Ilocano people.        This quarter has been a journey of growth and new experiences, much like setting off on an adventure full of discoveries. One of the most significant things I learned was HTML coding, especially in creating different types of lists such as ordered, unordered, and nested lists. At first, it was quite confusing, as the codes seemed like a mix of unfamiliar symbols. But with continuous practice, everything started making sense, and I realized how important proper organization is in building a website. Aside from this, we also worked on Community-Based Research (CBR), where we conducted a study in Tamorong, Sta. Catalina.      Of course, the learning process was not always easy.      As the new year begins, I’ve been thinking about the past year. I looked at what I did well, what I struggled with, and what I learned. It feels good to reflect because it helps me see where I can improve. This year, I want to let go of old habits that didn’t help me and focus on becoming a better version of myself. Starting fresh feels exciting and full of possibilities.          One thing I’m working on is seeing challenges differently. Instead of feeling bad when things don’t go as planned, I want to see those moments as chances to grow. I’ve realized that even small steps can make a big difference over time.      This Christmas holiday was a much-needed break. After a busy year, I finally had the chance to relax and enjoy time with my family. It was a simple but special celebration that reminded me of what truly matters—family, joy, and faith.              One of the highlights of my holiday was spending time with my cousins. We played games, laughed, and shared stories, just like we used to when we were younger. It felt good to forget about phones and just enjoy each other’s company. During the second quarter, I gained a deeper understanding of HTML, which forms the backbone of website creation. I learned about the two kinds of tags in HTML: the container tags which require opening and closing tags together and the empty tags which stand alone. The structure of an HTML document had been taught to include tags such as <html>, <head>, and <body>. Beyond that, I could learn about heading tags which create titles, formatting tags to change the style of texts and give horizontal rules for dividing sections, and I also learned the look of a webpage through backgrounds, fonts, and tag attributes. Furthermore, I have learned how to include images, create frames, and prepare tables that organize and present information differently.      The issue of Violence Against Women (VAW) is a very present matter worldwide, and millions of women are impacted by it, not the least of which are Filipino women. As indicated in the 2022 National Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS), almost one in five Filipino women has either been emotionally, physically, or sexually abused by her intimate partner. This sad truth indicates how much more stringent laws and better-supported community systems have to be before women can be free from violence and abuse. In various disguises, VAW manifests from verbal and psychological abuse to that which tortures the body, and up to cases of sexual assault. These do not only affect victims individually but also result in several enumerated effects spreading over families and entire communities.      Elpidio Quirino , the sixth President of the Philippines, is remembered for his dedication to rebuilding the nation after World War II. Born on November 16, 1890, in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Quirino came from humble beginnings. His father was a warden, and his mother was a teacher. Despite financial difficulties, Quirino excelled in his studies. He graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 1915 and passed the bar the same year, marking the start of his journey in public service.        Quirino’s political career began when he served as a private secretary to then-Senate President Manuel Quezon.
